Once you enter the serene and stately grounds of the College the bustle of the city is left behind. The tone is set for your guests as they are greeted at the front door and invited to ascend the grand marble staircase for your ceremony in sunny Ashhurst Hall. The carved wood and intricate plaster work are a perfect background for the beautiful flowers surrounding your alter, huppa or dais. Following the ceremony you are congratulated by your guests in the Marble Rotunda during the reception. After a fabulous cocktail party that flows throughout the first floor, guests are invited to Mitchell Hall for dinner and dancing.
Or picture yourself standing at the head of the stairs with your guests watching your grand entrance and walk down the aisle. After the ceremony, guests would enjoy Ashhurst for cocktails. Then, at the designated moment, the big oak doors swing open into Mitchell for dinner and dancing. Perhaps you choose to have dessert and coffee in the cocktail space while the party rages on.
During the warmer months, consider our beautiful historic herb garden. Filled with delicious aromas and butterflies, it is a lovely locale for a ceremony for 60 guests or for a larger cocktail reception.
With numerous reception spaces, you may craft your vision of your perfect wedding day. No matter if it is one of these plans or another yet to be discussed, know that the building is yours- from the private Bride’s Room and Gross Library to docent tours of the Mütter Museum if desired. You come to the College for its uniqueness, grandeur and spaciousness. But above all, for the dynamic party spirit that is the result of folding together a carefully crafted plan with sumptuous cuisine.
For your special day, the possibilities are endless. |
